[attr="class","field"] [attr="class","blackheading"]BACKGROUND Ben was born from the prestigious military family of Wang. His father, Wang Jian, was also a renowned great general such as himself. Ben trained in martial arts and diligently studied warfare at an early age. He actively sought to stand out of his father's shadow and raced through the ranks by accomplishing achievements right after another no matter how small. His desire to become a general was almost an obsession and he had little life outside of fighting, evident by his indifference toward his wife from an arranged marriage. Ben's name didn't rise to the surface of history until the unification war when he single-handedly conquered Wei by first taking the borders of Chu. He was able to defeat Wei's natural defence fortress by redirecting the Yellow River and the Hong Canal to flood its capital, which led to the deaths of 100, 000 soldiers and civilians alike. He was able to accomplish this feat in three months while maintaining their siege. Ben also led the armies that resulted to the capture of royalties, thus ending the war and putting an end to a country's existence. He participated in all wars, and only failed to bring full glory from the conquest of Han and conquest of Chu, which were led by Minister Teng and General Wang Jian. Regardless, his exemplary service rewarded him the title "Marquis Tongwu." After the unification, Ben continued serving as a general in defending from the nomadic tribes and the quelling of rebellions. Being a military man through and through, he took no part in the chaos in the court, but Ben later intervened to protect General Meng Tian's children by adopting them as servants and, hence, a property of the Wang household. Due to Ben's services, the court decided to turn a blind eye and claimed the Meng children dead to save face. Ben focused on raising his three sons to follow his footsteps; however, none of them ever saw through Ben and Jian's military prestige. His eldest became a physician, his middle passed away, and his youngest, Wang Li, was above average at most. Ben didn't completely blame them as he saw the new era unfitting for soldiers aspiring for greatness. Though discontented with his sons, Ben cared for them deeply. When Li fell defending the palace from the rebel army, Ben was so enraged that he deployed his elite unit to personally take down the rebels. He was stopped short by the execution of King Ziying, son of Prince Fu Su, which signified the end of the Qin Dynasty. Ben retired from the military and served as governor with General Meng Tian's children by his side. His bloodline ended with his son, who did not have any children.
[attr="class","field"] [attr="class","redheading"]PERSONALITY DILIGENT. This is the general who painstakingly spent three months redirecting the river to flood a city while maintaining siege - and no one finding out. Ben carries out his plans carefully, effectively, and diligently. Every factor has come into consideration. He works hard to achieve the most perfect results.HARSH. The first-account stories from his children are bone-chilling. Ben is sharp with his words and deeds, but to treat his children worse than a foot soldier is heartless. Ben has become softer since thanks to one of his sons. These are special exemptions though. HONOURABLE. Flooding a city including civilians doesn't count. That's war. But in ideal situations, Ben will uphold honour. Mostly because he's too proud to have to rely on cheap tricks. INTENSE. Serious, intimidating, obsessive. Ben is a very intense character radiating with energy you don't want to get close to. Babies like cry around him. Of course, he never touched his children when they were born either. PROFESSIONAL. Personal feelings are always set aside. He will obey those above him and lead those below him. He used to be a bit more immature about it when he was younger, though all were warranted cases. He's not a cold, emotionless wall though. There are orders that gets his eyebrows even deeper and he can be snarling at having to lower his head to some fool. Professionalism isn't just about his attitude to others, but to himself. He will owe up to his errors when they are an inch less than his high standards and humbly apologize for his shortcomings. PROUD. Arrogant? No, but it seems that way, doesn't it? Ben is proud of his blood, of his accomplishments, of his skills. That's why he always holds himself with dignity and acts befitting of a person of greatness as himself. He's only stating the fact. He's not delusional about his strength and legend. He climbed to the top too, just like everybody else. WRATHFUL. You can trust Ben not to stab you in the back, because he'd rather much prefer to face you and watch the terror on your face as he cleans that head of yours from your shoulder. Ben's grudges are no secret. The hate practically pulses from him.
