Despite being an ancient magus family, the Sartorius family rarely had any luck with the thickening of blood and improvements of Magic Circuits. However, this did a later elder, who was gripped by an obsession to mark his name down in history, even if it meant giving the equivalent of the middle finger to the Mage's Association. But the Sartorius lineage was considered weak, and so they were left to their own devices by the older families. Most of them expected the line to die out, and with it, the practice of .

Despite the fact that this was a long, long time ago, even careful matchmaking could only produce the most average quality of magic circuits (that is, until Octavian came along). Instead, the family's strength is drawn from the fact that their elder's ambitious resolve is still very well alive in all of them. To the Sartorius family, even the attempt at engraving one's name in history is considered a rite of passage. Octavian's has been planned and plotted out a little late, but he fully intended on becoming both great and satisfying his own boredom.

He bided his time, and decided he would go down in history by stealing the Grail for the Sartorius family. In fact, the Grail had exchanged hands multiple times within Yggdmillennia, but never for the Sartorius. It allowed the incorporation of the family into Yggdmillennia, with Octavian as the head of both families. Lying in wait to snatch the Grail from under its rightful owners had been worth the wait. He does not welcome the accusations, but merely shrugs it off.

Octavian says that he stole the Grail from the previous Yggdmillennia holders because he was bored, and really, that isn't too far from the truth.

[attr="class","field"]PATIENT. You don't just wake up one day and decide you're going to steal an all-powerful, wish-granting device just because you can. You wake up, decide you're going to steal it, and then spend years of plotting out how you're going to do it, waiting for the best opportunity.

OPPORTUNISTIC. Fully aware that he has the option to not play by the rules, Octavian will pick the latter if it turns out to be the most efficient. If there's an opportunity sitting on a gilded platter right before him, you bet he's going to take it and laugh at the people who don't.

EFFICIENT. Garnering attention doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go out of your way to get even more. Octavian is very good at getting things done, and even better at getting them done without people noticing.

GENEROUS. The Yggdmillennia family has grown in the recent years, particularly because its new leader is not the kind of person who will turn down people who ask for his help. But if you can help him, that's an even better deal.

CHARISMATIC. People follow Octavian because they admire him, for some reason. Other people follow him because they hold a grudging respect for the man, even if it's a tiny smidgen that could be stamped out at any moment. Still, other people like him because he's agreed to provide Yggdmillennia's protection to them if they joined the family. For some reason or another, people are drawn to him and choose to follow Octavian.

INDEPENDENT. He can pretend to be a team player, but the truth is that Octavian prefers to be alone when he's working. On the other hand, he always has the best interests for Yggdmillennia in the back of his mind.

POLITICAL. You do him a favor, he does you a favor. You don't do him a favor, he doesn't do you a favor either.

EGOTISTICAL BASTARD. Even if he's humble to the naked eye, put on some glasses and you'll realize he's actually an egotistical bastard.

WISH. Proper secure of the Grail for Yggdmillennia, because not even Octavian is really sure if they'll escape the war still with it.

• SARTORIUS CREST. The Sartorius Family's magic revolves around using their prana to increase or decrease the frequencies of waves in their surroundings. It is a broad magic study, one that takes years to master due to the fact that it revolves around bending mechanical and electromagnetic waves. Octavian utilizes his crest with ease.
• ACOUSTIC WAVES. With his prana, Octavian can bend and intercept acoustic waves, making this a problem for mages who may need to chant an incantation to use a spell. Alternatively, aggravating sound waves and creating unpleasant noise is a good distraction for getting away, or even using prana to muffle the sound waves that his own footsteps cause.
