The two-faced Ambassador of Greece, Athanasios is a conniver, always seeking to turn situations to his advantage. He never acts anything less than impeccably polite, if occasionally sarcastic. If he isn't, then he's very confident that the person experiencing that won't be telling the tale to very many people. While he's more than willing to help other people, he generally does so with the unspoken assumption that the person he helps will be of use to him in the future. Generally, a very agreeable, likable, if somewhat greasy person, unless you present yourself as an impediment to doing what he has planned for his future.
Friends: There are three levels of friends that Athanasios has, with each one being harder to get to. The first are acquaintances, people he speaks to casually and fosters good feelings with. This can be nearly anyone, on both sides, and he's perfectly willing to stab these in the back to continue moving forward. The second are people he views as valuable, and he can and will go out of his way to help, because he believes they will be useful to him later. The third are true friends, an exceedingly small commodity in the rather paranoid Greek's accounts. If anyone actually reaches the point where they earn Athanasios' trust, then he will be willing to risk his own neck for them, as such people are worth their weight in gold.
Enemies: Athanasios would rather have no enemies, because enemies are people that could interfere with his machinations. Generally, people who get in the way of whatever he sets in his plans to do are his enemies, and he tries his best to make sure they aren't aware that's the case. He's also afraid, and rightly so, that if people were more aware of his real personality that they'd turn against him, which is something very likely to happen.
Lovers: Athanasios is rather disinterested in pursuing any relationships, as it involves a degree of trust that he doesn't freely give out for anything serious, and he burned himself out on casual flings when he was younger and more stupid. Anyone who actually wants to, and can reach the level where they actually earn his trust, could pursue a romantic relationship however.
Other: Dunno
